The Fourth Musketeer

At the North of 45 Retreat for Writers, my usual “through the viewfinder” subjects are well known and aspiring authors, a beautiful lodge and stunning views of the lake. This year, I was treated to a completely unexpected photographic bonus. A mother fox and her four kits that had taken up residence under a cabin adjacent to the lodge. Mother would bring kits out periodically to play as well as to get some hunting lessons. This photo was my favorite.
